About Me

Hello! I am a trained Primary school teacher and have lived and taught in Edinburgh for 7 years. I now work part-time in local school and would like to offer my experiences and skills in education as a Tutor. I am a creative and adaptive individual and enjoy using multi-sensory teaching tools to support all children to thrive.

My Experience

I have been teaching Primary aged pupils in schools in Spain and Scotland for 10 years and have worked with children with special educational needs and with English as an additional language. I lived in Spain for 3 years and have experience supporting young learners with language development. I have a special interest in literacy and language and have a masters degree in children’s literature. I particularly enjoy supporting children with reading, writing and phonics.
I also hold a forest school qualification and I am passionate about outdoor learning, which may be of interest to those with flexi schooling or home-schooled children.

MEd Children's Literature and Literacies
Toddler yoga teacher with Birthlight UK
Forest Kindergarten SCQF Level 7
Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3 valid until February 2025 (children and adults)
