About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder based in Bromley Cross. I live with my husband, and Benjamin the tortoise.
I am an excellent role model for children, have lots of patience and am very active and healthy.
I will provide early years education in a safe and caring environment for your child, enabling you to work, study or just take some respite. Together we can nurture a healthy, active and happy child who can confidently hit the ground running upon starting school.
I'm registered under the tax free childcare scheme and can offer funded places for eligible 2, 3 and 4 year old children. Ask me about this if you are unsure.
My Experience
Personally I have brought my own Daughters up successfully. I looked after 3 young boys all under 5 in the mid to late 1990s, whilst I was off work looking after my children and studying part time in the evenings. I also volunteered as a teaching assistant at this time for one day a week over 12 months, before deciding that working as a teacher in a school wasn't for me.
I have experience over the last 2 years of working with older children (12-18 years) in care as a live in support worker at weekends. I have also cared for a young mother with a learning disability and helped her look after her newborn baby, again as a live in role.
I registered with Ofsted in November 2022, and have been childminding within my own home since then.

My toddler came to Nanny K’s for the full weekend and he’s had a great time! Karen took my son out to various parks and outings, took photos to keep me updated, gave him his favourite meals and accommodated his every need. She was very patient with him and my son came home very happy and spoke about his time there. It was very reassuring knowing my son was in very safe hands. If I need childcare in the future I shall be looking no further than Nanny ask’s! Thank you x

Karen was amazing with my little baby boy, working on his development throughout his different stages. Very nurturing and provides lovely surroundings in her home from home environment. Would definitely recommend
