About Me

I’m a mum of 3 kids - a sporty and sensitive 10 year old boy, a funny and creative 8 year old girl and a busy little 5 year old boy, as well as two super friendly cocker spaniels called Badger and Rocket. We're looking for maternity cover for our wonderful nanny Grace from September 2025 for 4-6 months (we're just confirming exact length of time). The role is essentially being an extra pair of hands at home from around 2pm each week day until 7.30/8pm during the term time, and 3 full days a week on top of that during the school holidays. Life’s super busy with our little tribe and increasingly so, as they all have different clubs, matches, homework etc - my husband isn't home until 8pm in the evening, and whilst I work from home one of me isn’t enough to be in three places at once, or give them all the kind of meaningful time they want and need. I’m hoping to find someone bubbly and proactive to come and slot into the family whilst Grace is away and help with the gang during these hours. It would include general childcare (often with me also at home doing something with one of the other kids), some school pick ups, meal preparation for the children, tidying up in the evening - kitchen, playroom and kids bedrooms (not cleaning), washing the kids clothes, packing kids school bags, helping them with homework etc, having fun with the kids and maybe the odd dog walk! There would be opportunities for evening babysitting, the odd overnight and weekend stay.
