About Me
Hi, my name is Jill, I'm a C.S.I.W registered children's nanny.
I'm married to Ian, we have two sons aged 18yrs & 23yrs old & live in Dinas Powys, Vale of Glamorgan.
I'm an Assistant Cub Leader, an Executive Committee member of our Scout group & an active volunteer fundraiser for our local Marie Curie hospice.
I enjoy spending time with my family & friends, organising fundraising events, participating in Cub activities & events, going for walks & on day trips, craft activities, reading & going to the cinema.
I have been caring for babies, children & young people for over 25 years & still love my job, no two days are the same & I'm so proud to have been part of these wonderful young person's lives.
I work closely together with my nannying family to help provide a loving & nurturing home, ensuring each child's individual needs & developments are met in a wonderful home environment.
Learning through play is essential for a happy child, I love being outdoors, letting the children explore the world around them as well as providing activities at home or days out.
I keep in touch with all of my long term families, remaining part of their family & watching proudly as the children I have cared for move through school & university, marriage & even having children of their own.
I have a full, clean driving licence & my own car.
My Experience
I have been working with babies & children from newborn to teenagers for over 25 years, both in private families & nursery schools.
I have experience with special needs children & young adults, I've previously worked with Social Services as a childcare support worker.
I was a Deputy Playleader in a private nursery for 19 years until the nursery closed a few years ago.
I have recently been working as a Personal Assistant to a special needs young lady but due to the Covid pandemic, the funding for my role has come to an end.
This now enables me to return to my first love, childcare.
I enjoy working with children of all ages, becoming part of the child's family & they becoming part of my family.
I provide age appropriate outings, activities & games to help promote the childs wellbeing & development in an individual way, learning through play whilst having fun.
I can be strict when needed, especially where there is a risk of danger but always balance that with lots of fun & cuddles.
I have many years experience, working alongside the parents to provide every child with love & care for the best possible foundation for their future.
My Qualifications
I have an NNEB qualification (level 3).
I am registered with CSIW.
I am DBS checked & trained in first aid & safeguarding.
I have a full clean driving licence.
I have experience with children & young adults with special needs.
My Availability
I am available weekdays.
I can be flexible, available at short notice and will consider temporary contracts.

Jill has looked after our three children since December 2015 and very quickly felt like a part of our family. She's wonderful with children of all ages and very responsive to & supportive of their individual needs. She handles any situation that arises with calm competence and good humour; we wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone.

Jill has been my little girl's nanny for the past two and a half years. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jill due to her professional and hard working attitude. Rosie absolutely loves her and I know that I can trust her fully to provide a safe and fun day for her. Jill is kind, caring and a lovely person to have around. We will all miss her greatly.

I found Jill on this site and she has been a nanny for my two children aged 3 and 6 during the school holidays since April 2013, while I go to work part time. Jill is friendly, down to earth, reliable and the children have lots of fun with her. They are often out on trips with a picnic having fun. She is also clearly experienced with clear boundaries to keep the children safe.
