About Me
We are a family of five living just outside Box, a lovely village between Bath and Corsham. We have two daughters aged 7 and 5, and a son who is 2. Plus a small dog and a field full of sheep. It's a busy but fun household, with a lot of singing, dancing and a fair bit of mess! The kids spend a lot of time outside in our garden, playing with the mud kitchen and the trampoline, and digging up worms to keep as pets... I am a radio and TV journalist, about to go freelance. I work a lot from home but sometimes need to go away to record or film stories, and my husband runs a charity on a farm nearby, where we spend a lot of time, especially in lambing season.
My Requirements
From March/April 2025 we are looking for someone to pick up the children from Box school and preschool at 3pm two days a week, bring them home and give them dinner. This would ideally be on Monday and Wednesday to fit in with our schedules (but there is a possibility we could make Thursday work instead if that's not possible). We often need extra ad hoc help too, and are really hoping we can find someone who could become like part of the family and form a close relationship with the children. We have had several Norland students do residential placements with us over the past couple of years, and both they and the kids have loved the experience, so really hoping we can find someone that this job would suit!
