About Me
We are sadly saying goodbye to our wonderful nanny Chelsey, as she embarks on a new journey to Banbury this June. This opens up an opportunity for a new nanny to join our family and care for our delightful son, Arthur, who will be turning two in early June.
My Requirements
Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm/6:30pm.
- Start Date: End of June onwards (maybe some handover days during June if available).
Key Requirements:
- Sole Charge: You'll be solely responsible for Arthur's care during these hours, ensuring his
safety, well-being, schedule and development.
- Activities & Engagement: We value a proactive and fun approach to childcare. You'll be responsible for organising and participating in activities like Tumble Tots, local groups, park
visits, as well as creative play and educational activities at home and in the garden.
- Food & Nutrition: We are committed to creating a healthy lifestyle for Arthur and believe
that good nutrition plays a pivotal role in his growth and development. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in preparing well-balanced, nutritious meals and snacks for him. We encourage fun and educational involvement in mealtimes, helping Arthur to develop positive
eating habits and an appreciation for healthy food from an early age.
- Qualifications: First Aid and DBS check (experience of being a nanny with at least one other family, plus experience with toddlers including potty training)
- Keeping us up to date: We like to receive a few photos or videos of Arthur during the day as
he enjoys different activities (we currently do this via a 3-person group WhatsApp) and have
a 5–10-minute check-in at the end of the day to hear how he has eaten, check his nap times,
etc.
- Transportation: A reliable car is necessary for this role, and we are conveniently located by
Twyford station. Parking is available, and there's easy access to the train line to Henley and
Reading.
- Tidiness: While we have a cleaner for the heavy lifting, we appreciate someone who
maintains tidiness after daily activities with Arthur.
- Pet-Friendly: Must be comfortable around pets, as we have two lovely ragdoll cats (no expectations on feeding or looking after the cats).
Who We're Looking For:
An extension of our family; someone reliable, proactive, and who genuinely enjoys engaging with children. Creativity and a love for outdoor and educational activities including reading are a plus.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary (based on experience and qualifications)
- Pension contributions
- Warm and supportive family environment
- Paid annual leave (days dependant on working week)
Our current nanny, Chelsey, has kindly offered to provide a reference to give you candid insights into our family and home environment.
If you believe you'd be a great fit for our family and are excited about creating a nurturing and
stimulating environment for Arthur, we would love to hear from you. Please message me your interest and why you think you could be right for the role and any questions you have.
We look forward to welcoming a new member to our family who can bring joy, care, and enriching experiences to Arthur's life.
