My Experience

I have 5 years of experience working with children from newborn and above. I have 3 years experience working in a childminders setting and 3 years now in a nursery setting. During my time in childcare settings I have been responsible for dropping off and picking up from school, nursery, after school clubs and activities. This meant being very time aware and working around the clock as well as ensuring childrens rest if and when required. I engage and provide age appropriate play whilst which I thoroughly enjoy being a part of. I can slo I observe development and provide plans and activities for next steps. I promote early education and development through The Curriculum for Excellence and pay full attention to meeting childrens' needs and wellbeing. I encourage children to understand hygiene and it's importance as I support them in washing hands, going to the toilet, potty training and changing nappies. I prepare and provide children with healthy breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner. I enjoy engaging with children both indoors and outdoors and always aspire to make children happy. I encourage good behaviour and celebrate achievements with appraisal and enthusiasm. I am a very empathetic person with a lot of patience and understanding. I take pride in recognising positive relationships with children and being an approachable and trustworthy person.

My Qualifications

SSSC Registered. PVG and DBS checked. Child protection and safeguarding training up to date. Emergency Paediatric First Aid complete at SVQF Level 6. SVQF Level 7 Social Services Children and Young People qualified.
