My Summary
About Me
I am based in the Hempshill Vale area within a 3 minute walking distance to Hempshill hall primary school. I have a daughter (6y) who lives with me. I am a very friendly, compassionate person with a passion for educating!
I work alongside all required frameworks and provide opportunities of play and learning to assist in the development of children. The development framework I follow is the EYFS. Not only do I have a wide range of resources, secure and safe garden and home, and knowledge to encourage development but I also frequently take local visits into the community to provide extended opportunities such as visits to play areas, libraries, sign classes and much more.
I provide daily updates regarding development, activity logs, food logs, and a general feed of each child’s day to day life through parent partnership conversation and a secure GDPR compliant app (although you can opt out of this and I am happy to provide written feedback).
I am a strong believer of every child is different and must be provided with different opportunities to thrive which is why each child will be provided with goals (next steps) and be assisted with development checks at appropriate ages to ensure I am evaluating my own practice in guiding the development of children. Each child will be provided with goals from the EYFS and I will specifically choose outings/activities to promote the learning and growth of the children in accordance to their next steps.
While I have a loose themed long term planning which consists of weekly themes - I also use the approach of child led learning. Children thrive from learning through play and each have their own individual wants and interests. Children will be given opportunities to choose - not only - their own activities to support their learning (with my support) but their breakfast, snacks and many other things to promote democracy.
Children who attend before/after school and school holidays are provided with many extended opportunities for fun and learning. I am happy to assist children with reading, homework and any further guidance they may require. I have worked in both primary and secondary schools and have a wide range of knowledge in accordance to the national curriculum.
I provide breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and drinks throughout the day. These are healthy and nutritious to ensure the health and well-being of the children. However, they are also very tasty!
My Experience
I have 9 years childcare experience with ages ranging from newborn to 16 years. I have worked in nurseries, primary schools, secondary schools and childminder settings. I have many certificates of qualification as my knowledge and experience is ever growing. I am happy to show these!

My daughter has thrived in Rebecca's loving, supporting, and enjoyable home setting. She has been very good at communicating with me, filling me in on minor facts to keep me from worrying about her during the day. My daughter enjoys visiting Rebecca because she engages in a variety of activities throughout the day, including spending a lot of time outdoors, and because the food she serves is delicious and nutritious. Rebecca has been very understanding of my last-minute shift needs. For anyone looking for the best, most dependable, and compassionate childminding in Nottingham, I heartily suggest Rebecca.
Knowing Rebecca for 8+ years and working in the same field, I have experienced Rebecca work with a variety of children. Rebecca has always been professional, dedicated and hard working. She has a wide range of knowledge and is always happy to help and give advice. My daughter (17 months) loves playing at Rebecca’s house with the diverse toys and engaging activities. Rebecca’s daughter is a great role model for any child: with amazing manners and fun personality, she is a credit to Rebecca.
Rebecca at Moostots has provided childcare for my children, particularly my eldest (aged 7) since she was 6 months old. Whether that be in a nursery setting, or babysitting. She has a very wide knowledge and makes the educational activities super fun for all ages. My eldest has always enjoyed being looked after by Rebecca. My middle daughter (aged 2) also feels secure and safe and happy with Rebecca. My youngest aged 7 months enjoys the songs and love. She is fantastic, trustworthy, honest, caring, and a joy to be around. My 3 children all adore her.
