My Summary
About Me
I am looking for babysitting work and open to regular nannying.
I am outgoing, energetic, and kind. I really love being outside, climbing, hiking, and reading. I have two year's worth of nannying experience and one year as a teacher in a special needs school. Additionally, I have been babysitting for several years.
I do not drive.
My Experience
I just finished working full-time as an AuPair in Switzerland for a family with 3 children aged 4,7 and 9. This was a really rewarding job and I am very grateful to have been able to be apart of their family for the year.
I worked for a family in 2023 looking after their 7 & 11-year-old children for a few hours per week. They are really lovely boys and we like to spend time at the climbing centre together.
I worked as a nanny in 2022-23 for a 4 and a 9-year-old for 1 year. I loved spending time outside with them, reading and playing games! I feel confident with bath time, putting to bed, dinner time, and taking children out of the house. I also carried out basic household tasks.
From 2021-2022, whilst on placement, I worked as a teacher in a school for children with autism and related disabilities. I largely worked with ages 6-18 but had some experience with children ages 3-5. This has allowed me to feel confident working with children of a range of ages.
I feel comfortable working with children with a wide range of disabilities as I have had a lot of experience with this. Additionally, I have lots of experience dealing with challenging behaviours.
From my previous work, I have learnt to consider the needs of each child I work with. I feel it is important to support children whilst at the same time giving them space to learn and grow themselves.
My Qualifications
- I am a trained level 1 CABAS autism and associated disabilities teacher.
- I have extensive training in safeguarding children and vulnerable people.
- I know small amounts of Makaton and sign language. I am also willing to learn more.
- I volunteer as a Victim Support (VS) worker where I support children in vulnerable situations.
- I am not certifiably trained but I have experience dealing with epileptic and non-epileptic seizures.
I have 13 GCSEs and 3 A-Levels.
I have a 1st class honours degree in Psychology
My CV detailing all my work experience can be provided if requested. Additionally, I can provide references.
