I’m Jenny, and with my husband John we have a four year old little girl and a corgi, Clemmie, and we live on the edge of Shotley Bridge.
I’m a teacher and private tutor (so do a lot of work in the evening after school) and my husband John works in finance (often on calls into the evening) and we both work from home. We have for the last few years had the most heavenly person helping us with childcare doing school pick up - bedtime two days a week. Despite being thrilled she's now off to start a family of her own, we are very sad to be losing her and are looking for someone to fill the gap she will leave in our lives. We’re looking for someone fun, bright, and flexible to help us look after our daughter a few afternoons/evenings a week, collecting her from school near Corbridge and driving her home, then doing dinner, bath and bedtime.
My Requirements
My husband and I both work from home but I'm a private tutor so majority of calls are in the evening, and my husband works in finance but has a bit of an erratic call schedule, hence needing support.
Ideal Requirements
Collection from school near Corbridge two days a week then sorting out dinner, doing any 'homework' - some phonics etc comes home now she is in Reception, general play / telly watching, bath and bedtime routine. Ideally some light housekeeping that is created by her, e.g. dishwasher emptying, tidying toys, putting in a load of washing etc.
We'd also ideally find someone who’s happy to do some occasional evenings, weekends and overnight care / housesitting as well as we do go away occasionally.
Clean driving licence and own car essential. Must be dog friendly - we have a very affectionate long haired black and white corgi who likes to sit on the sofa for after school cuddles / sometimes 'helps' with bath and bedtime.
Ideal days listed below based on my current client set up with evening calls - for the perfect person I'd see what I could rearrange if these days don't work.
