Hello! I have 3 yrs professional experience of working with children. I have been a nanny for 1 year now. Looking to be a after school nanny/babysitter.
I am comfortable with preparing light meals and snacks for children, and I can help with light housekeeping duties related to the children's care.
I am patient, kind, and nurturing. I have a positive attitude, and I love to engage with children in activities that foster their creativity, imagination, and learning. I am happy to help with homework, reading, and basic phonics, as well as arts and crafts, outdoor activities, and games.
I understand that every child is unique, and I take pride in getting to know each child's personality, interests, and needs to provide individualized care.
I am tidy and organized as I like to make sure the children are following the routines and that they are fed and kept clean. I also like to tidy up toys and surrounding along the way to avoid extra mess after playing.
I am a homework helper as I also have a niece aged 5 years old who I help with reading and basic phonics and maths. As well as this, I help the children that i nanny in the afternoons with their homework.
I have first aid training, health and safety training, FGM training and DBS. I also can provide references!

My Experience
I am currently a “level 3 educator” working in a nursery at Hackney Downs. I work in this nursery from 8am - 1pm. (will change in January 2024 from 10am - 2pm). Therefore I am searching for after school role.
I have been a nanny for a lovely family of 4, where I look after two girls (aged 4 & 10) for 3 hours everyday after school. I picked them up from school, took them home, played activities, helped them with their homework and made light snacks for them to eat until their parents came home.
I have been babysitting my now 5-year-old niece for up to 6 hours in the evening when she was younger, ever since she was born as her mother worked part-time. my main responsibilities were picking her up from school, getting her dressed, changing her diaper, keeping her fed, keeping her interacted and getting her to take naps.
I have been a volunteer nursery practitioner for nearly 2 years for children ages 2 to 5 years old. I worked 10 hours per week and looked after groups of 15 with guidance from the room leaders and managers of the nursery. my main responsibilities were getting the children ready for the school day by standing at the door and welcoming them in. I then had to lead the morning circle time with these children by singing and asking about their morning to get them energized. I had to supervise the children during their free play, ensuring that they are taking part and interacting with their surroundings. I also had to plan and carry out activities that were appropriate to the children's age range. I would accompany children to the toilets and ensure they are learning to use the toilets properly and understanding basic hygiene. I also had to interview parents and children of all backgrounds and ethnicities to ensure that they are comfortable in the setting during the settling-in process. I had to supervise the children during snack time and keep them safe overall.
My Qualifications
I have received my Level 3 technical diploma in early years after 2 years of studying at New City College.
