My Experience
Over the last 7 years I have been responsible for
Responsible for sole care of two boys aged 9 and 12 from 7.30am - 7pm Monday to Friday.
Duties include:
Getting the younger boy up for school, making breakfast, preparing school bags, walking him to and from school each day and preparing daily snacks for both boys.
Keeping boys rooms clean and tidy, including bathrooms, playroom and all common areas.
Responsible for all the boys' laundry including bed linen.
Cooking healthy meals from scratch for the whole family each day.
Encouraging and assisting with homework and music practice.
Walking the family dog each day while doing general errands or taking boys to before or after school clubs.
Driving the boys to various out of school sporting activities.
Performing all household chores, including general cleaning, laundry and ironing.
Arranging playdates and some out of school activities, therefore being responsible for other children and forming relationships with other parents.
Volunteering at younger boys school such as helping teachers and teacher’s assistant in reception and Yr 1 and Yr 2.
And
Sole care of two boys aged 7 and 11 from 7am - 6pm, Monday to Friday on a week on/week off basis (boys spend one week with mum and one week with dad)
Duties include:
Getting both boys up for school, making breakfast, healthy packed lunches and walking the younger boy to and from school at the start and end of each day.
Cooking all meals for the family, including ordering food each week.
Responsible for all the boys laundry with some housekeeping duties.
Ordering and maintenance of uniforms each term and keeping all other clothes in good order and advising when new ones are required.
Taking boys to before and after school activities.
Helping with homework.
Dealing with all administration for school and after school activities, this includes being a carer contact in case of emergencies.
Providing some weekend help if required with sporting activities.
Ad Hoc overnight babysitting.
Attending school meetings on parents' behalf.
Volunteering at younger boy’s school such as attending school trips and helping teachers and teacher’s assistants in reception class.
Arranging playdates and other out of school activities, therefore being responsible for other children and forming relationships with other parents.
Responsible for ordering and management for older boy’s diabetes medicine, having a full understanding of managing daily food routine, insulin management including carbohydrate counting and insulin requirement. Full knowledge of. crisis management in case of severe high or low sugar levels. Ordering medication required at hospital and pharmacy
Responsible for booking appointments such as dentist, vaccinations.
Providing sole care for boys on holidays away from home in school holidays.
Also sole care of one girl aged 9 (live out)
Duties include:
Picking up from school.
Cooking evening meal for her and her father.
Responsible for laundry.
Taking her to and picking up after school activities.
Providing some weekend and overnight care as father worked some weekends.
Arranging playdates and some other out of school activities.
Walking the family dog every day.
Providing sole care for her on holidays, away from home in school holidays
