About Me
I'm a highly experienced nanny and have spent my whole life caring for and teaching children. I love to spend time in nature with them, being curious and ensuring they have fun and feel safe. When children feel safe and loved they are free to create and express themselves fully. I am passionate about supporting learning through play, games and activities to enhance social, emotional, physical and intellectual development.
I love to sing, spend time in nature, make delicious healthy food, meet with other nature loving friends and sit around a fireside to share songs and our life stories. I'm keen to work with families who value time in nature, healthy eating, time for creativity, to be screen free (around the children) and who aim for a low impact, sustainable lifestyle.
NB- I am currently working Tuesday and Wednesdays (looking after an amazing toddler who I've been with for 2 years), but am potentially available full time for the right family, however I would need to give at least a months notice.
My Experience
14+yrs nannying, from newborns - teens. Over 25yrs experience working with children.
I was a nanny for 12 years before having my own children. I was then a Steiner school assistant, a tutor, an English teacher, and then managed a thriving community health food store, while running Forest School groups with children and teenagers.
I am a qualified, experienced Forest School leader and Outdoor Education facilitator, so I also facilitate nature connection sessions (for charities, businesses and my own groups) on retreats, Rites of Passage programmes, nature connection camps for families etc. I have run 'ancestral skills and bushcraft' home-education groups and holiday clubs. I am experienced with neurodivergence, including those on the autistic spectrum and those with dyspraxia, dyslexia and ADHD.
I have many additional qualifications and trainings including, outdoor and paediatric first aid, hand-in-hand parenting, emotional literacy, challenging behaviour, safe-guarding, children's mental health, food hygiene, mentoring, 'The Way of Council' facilitation, life coaching, 'Vision Quest' leadership, teaching English as a foreign language, grief tending and more.
My Qualifications
Forest School Leader (level 3), paediatric and outdoor 1st Aid, emotional literacy, autism awareness, children's mental health, challenging behaviour, safeguarding (level 3), BA/ BSC Degree in Business, Marketing & Psychology, A level's in English and Business. Teaching English as a Foreign Language (beginners up to IELTS/ GCSE level)
My Availability
I am available at all times and I'm looking for a combination of nannying and babysitting.
NB I am working on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the moment and would want to give 1 months notice for full time work.

My Fees
- Nannying from £18.00 per hour (gross)
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
I charge from £18- £25 ph, depending on number of children, times of day, number of hours etc.
