About Me
Hello, my name is Debs. I am a mum of 4 and was working in a nursery setting for 1 year, before it permanently closed its doors just before Christmas. I have wholesome values, kindness, patience, empathy — I believe children should be seen AND heard! I have experience with children who have special needs and mental health issues. I have also undergone specialist first aid training for children with respiratory issues as well as a full paediatric first aid certificate. I am signed up to the DBS update service for full transparency, I have a L3 food safety and hygiene certificate, a health declaration signed by my doctor and will continually take courses and workshops to keep my knowledge up to date to provide the best care for all children.
My Experience
I've had the joy of working in a nursery as both a chef and a nursery assistant, which has given me the chance to connect with the children in so many wonderful ways. Whether teaching, playing, or just spending time with them, I've loved every moment. Plus, I got to be creative in the kitchen, whipping up healthy, tasty meals that the kids enjoy. I'm also a trained paediatric first aider and have experience caring for children with special educational needs and complex health conditions.
