I’m a 29 year old mum to 2 beautiful children aged 3 and 6. I also have a step daughter whom we have living with us full time.
My daughter is a funny bright individual who lights up a room. But, she does have ASD/ADHD. So can be difficult to work with…
Both children currently attend a nursery setting, but we are looking at different options due to financial and personal reasons. I find it hard to juggle life sometimes which is why I’m looking for a childminder/Nanny to help me out as my partner (the kids father) works a lot, and I don’t have any family members nearby who are able to help me.
My Requirements
So I’m looking for someone who’s able to have my 2 younger children 3 days a week for me to work. With the odd additional day for respite. The school pick ups during term time is essential due to times of work. And through the school holidays, full days would be required.
The care could be given at my home address if needed (we do have a 1 year old Labrador to contend with too) or at a suitable home where it’s comforting and welcoming for my additional needs daughter. She’s ok with new environments, but her behaviour can be unpredictable. So i need to be confident that she likes/trusts you and is comfortable.
Honestly, this isn’t for the faint heart. Both my babies are a handful. But I wouldn’t change them for the world. I think that having experience working with children with additional needs and multiple children, would be beneficial, but not essential.
