About Me
Hi my name is Rifka. I am an Ofsted-registered childminder based in Carshalton Beeches. I have three daughters, two of whom attend or have attended Barrow Hedges Primary school.
We have a lovely house and a good sized garden with plenty of room for children to run around and explore, and a variety of play equipment including swings, slide, climbing, trampoline.
I enjoy doing arts and crafts with the children. I am also a face painter, which the kids love. I have a wide range of play and educational toys and games for boys and girls of different ages.
I love cooking and provide home-cooked meals for the children.
My Experience
I am a mother of three children of my own. I was a carer for 2 years, and have been taking care of other people's children for the past 3 years. Since becoming Ofsted registered I have looked after a wide variety of ages, including children with special needs, which I have some knowledge of.

When Alex started school he struggles with separation anxiety but loves going to Rifka’s after school. He was happy and well fed and she was a great support as I had extra commitments with my disabled daughter. She was a comfort to Alex and her place is a home away from home.

Rifka has been an absolutely wonderful childminder for my son. Her environment is fabulous and truly feels like a second home for him. He is always safe, happy and completely comfortable—just as if he were with his own family. She offers a warm, loving and nurturing setting where he is always excited to go. Her communication is excellent, and she keeps me updated throughout the day with photos and activities.
She is patient, caring, reliable and incredibly attentive to each child’s needs. Choosing her as our childminder has been one of the best decisions we’ve made, and I have complete trust in her. I’m so grateful for the positive impact she has had on my son’s development. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.

We've sent our 2.5-year-old daughter to Rifka and her team for well over a year now, and couldn't be happier with her services. Our daughter is always happy to be dropped off there in the morning, and excited to tell us about her day in the evening. We've even got to the point where she's disappointed it's the weekend and Mummy and Daddy have to look after her! Our daughter always comes home clean, well fed and appropriately stimulated, so I don't know that we can ask for much more at this stage of her life. I'd wholeheartedly recommend Rifka to anyone looking for childcare in the local area.

Rifka has been absolutely wonderful in caring for both my kids (3-year-old and 1.5-year-old). They provide a kind and nurturing environment where both girls feel comfortable and happy. Support with milestones, such as potty training, has been very reassuring. Communication has always been clear, timely, and supportive, which gives me peace of mind. Rifka has always tried to be accommodating and flexible where possible, which we deeply appreciate. It’s such a lovely experience knowing my children are enjoying their time, learning, and thriving in a warm setting. The team has truly become like a family friend, I would highly recommend Rifka to any parent looking for a caring and professional childminder.

My son just turn 2 and he loves going to Rifka. We started our journey with Rifka in March and the progress my son did throughout those couple of months is unbelievable. He is talking a lot, he is very social and most important he is very kind. During the nap time he needs to have someone next to him ohterwise he struggles to sleep but that wasnt a problem for Rifka at all!!! She done and is till doing everything to make my son feel safe important and loved.. Im grateful everyday that I have found Rifka who is truly a professional kind and loving person.

My daughter has been with Rifka since September 2023, and I cannot speak highly enough of her. Rifka is a true professional, and her love for the children is very apparent.
Initially, I was a bit apprehensive about Rifka's availability in case of illness or other commitments, but she has a friend/assistant who helps her with the children, and her husband Mark is always around to help her.
She offers a lot of games and activities to keep the children entertained while they are there, and her large garden has a wonderful play area that my daughter loves. And to top it all off, she also prepares home-cooked meals for children.
Rifka and her family have become a part of our family now, and my daughter is very fond of them.

We were so lucky to find Rifka - she regularly looked after our then 2 YO each week, but also helped with my bigger ones (5 & 8) when we needed additional help.
Rifka is so kind and caring and really gets involved teaching and playing with the children. She makes the children really feel at home, she provides home cooked food which my little one absolutely loved! She does so much for the children when they are there, crafts, decorating cakes. Her garden is set up so nicely with play areas, in the summer she has the paddling pool out - covered to ensure the children are protected and she'll often do face painting like a professional. My little girl loved going to Rifkas so much sometimes she'd cry when it was time to go home and she wanted to stay! And my big ones aleays try and escape into her house when they were with me for pick up - as she just makes it such a fun and welcoming place to be!

My 2 year old son has been attending Rifka’s setting since last October and it has been wonderful. He always looks forward to go every day and has improved a lot with his social skills. Rifka prepares delicious food and has a lovely house with lots of space for children to play around.
She is caring, knowledgeable and always willing to share her experience with others. With my son being on the spectrum, Rifka has been amazing and helped me to gain more knowledge and confidence.

I was very pleased when I found Rifka who lives just a very short distance from me; she responded to my enquiry very promptly and was very accommodating in terms of days and hours of the care. My child has been attending the childcare provision for over a year now (she started when she was only 6 months old) and she has been thriving in there. Initially I was very nervous to send my baby to a childminder, however Rifka has created a home-like environment for Milena and every time I collect her she beams with joy. Rifka has always been reliable and very approachable, she also cooks for children and Milena eats well and for that I am every so grateful! She lives in a lovely house with large garden where there is plenty of space to run and play.

We're so pleased we found Rifka to look after our two children! Rifka looks after our daughter who is 5 and son who is 2 and a half. They love going to her house and spending time with the other children and Rifka's family. Rifka drops and picks up our oldest from school and the younger one stays at her house in the day. The children are looked after really well, they have lovely meals together and she gives my youngest his usual nap with no problems. They are both happy. The transition to starting school for the older one has gone really smoothly for us, and this is thanks to Rifka. She's also been great with dietary needs as both our children have dairy allergies. Highly recommend!
