About Me
I began working in a nursery which provides care for ages 0-5 years from the age of 16. From then, I realised I wanted to pursue a career in childcare.
I began studying for an apprenticeship in Level 3 childcare which I have now completed and I am fully qualified.
I have 2 nieces and 1 nephew who I look after regularly during the day; as well as babysitting for families from the nursery.
I absolutely love being a part of children’s learning and witnessing them grow and flourish. I build strong bonds with the children I care for as well as their families.
I take the children’s interests and stage of development to plan days and activities around that; whilst maintaining an educational approach.
I am easily adaptable to each individual child’s routine, which I have done so for the last 3 years with different age groups.
My Experience
I have worked in the same nursery for 3 years now, working my way through each age group and experiencing all of the different stages of development.
I am currently in the baby room where the ages range from around 6 months to 17 months. Before joining the baby room, I worked in the 2 year old room and 1 year old room. I also spend a lot of time in the pre school room where the ages range from 2-4.
I take part in a lot of regular staff training which teaches me ways to manage behaviour, how to safeguard children and how to teach and care for children in the best way possible.
Working in the nursery has taught me many different aspects of how children develop and learn, which I will continue to use in my practice.
