About Me
I am a qualified Primary School Teacher, and I offer affordable private tutoring to give children that extra help and support to attain their full potential. I tutor the 11+ Kent Test (English, Maths, Verbal and Non-Verbal reasoning) and I also tutor children who need and benefit from extra help and support . I have 100% pass rate for 2024 Kent Test. It is important to build a good rapport with the children so that they feel comfortable and I can in turn then help build their confidence. Each tutoring session is focused on the pupil according to each individual learning needs and their understanding. I do this with online quizzes, videos, worksheets with a focus on making it engaging and ensure that fundamental maths concepts are really well grasped and understood. I provide all work sheet materials, folders and books and I write a progress report for each session. The children also get lots of sticker rewards and I have a goodie bag of prizes for their great efforts.
My Experience
I have been private tutoring for over 18 years and generally gear it towards the Kent Test, but since Covid, I am also tutoring children from Year 2 to help support with their learning.
Having three children myself, I understand what it is like trying to balance school and family life. I tutor from home as I have all my work materials and printers set up. I am flexible with timings in the evenings and weekends to suit busy children`s schedules.
My Qualifications
My degree is Archaeology and Ancient History (1995) and I have a PGCE Primary (1997)
