About Me
* CURRENTLY NO SPACES BUT WILL HAVE AVAILABILITY FROM JULY 2025. PLEASE CONTACT ME FOR MORE DETAILS *
I am an Ofsted Registered, Quality Assured (by Surrey County Council), Network Childminder. I live in Knaphill, Woking . I am able to offer the Early Years 15/30 hours to 3 & 4 year olds and eligible 9mth - 2 year olds.
I am rated as a GOOD provider by Ofsted and I have completed the Surrey County Council Quality Assurance Award.
I offer a home from home environment with plenty of toys, books and activities in a fully equipped and child friendly home. We attend various groups and activities on a daily basis (Toddler group, soft play, music & singing group and forest fun outdoor learning). I have a large garden with lots of outdoor resources (various water play activites, tents, trikes and games) and we like to spend as much time as possible outdoors. We also enjoy lots of walks and play-times at the local parks. We enjoy picnics, sports days, woodland walks and lots of other outdoor fun. I work closely with a group of other childminders so there is always a large group of little people for your child to share adventures with.
I am reliable, flexible and enjoy a good relationship with all my children and their families. I have excellent references ... some of which can be seen below.
Myself and my family are all fully Covid vaccinated.
My Experience
Having used a child minder when my own children were young, I am well aware of the difficulties of juggling work and a young family. My aim has always been to be as flexible as possible in order to fully meet the needs of the children and their parents. I have been childminding for 18 years and am a mum to 3 grown up children. I attend regular training and am an experienced early years practitioner, offering a home from home care setting for your child. I am experienced in caring for younger babies and twins.
My Qualifications
Surrey County Council Quality Assurance Award, Diploma in Home-Based Childcare, ICP, First Aid, Food Hygiene, Safeguarding Children, Behaviour Management, Persona Doll Training, Inclusion and SEN to name a few and I am registered with the ICO for GDPR/Data Protection Purposes.

Wendy was all we could’ve hoped for in a childminder for our son! This was our first time using a childminder as our daughter had always gone to nursery so we weren’t too sure what to expect but Wendy was perfect and made it so easy for us. Our son joined when he was 10 months old and settled in really quickly. A week at Wendy’s provided a variety of activities, playgroups and park visits so our son was always experiencing different things.
Wendy was great at sticking to our son’s daily routine (which makes life easier!) and was always flexible if we needed extra hours at short notice, including looking after our daughter too! Our son warmed to Wendy really quickly and was always happy to be dropped off in the mornings.
We made the tough decision to move our son to a setting closer to home to fit around work but we will really miss Wendy and everything she’s done for us over the last few months.
Wendy is more than you could ever wish for in a childminder. As soon as I met her I felt instantly at ease, her knowledge and experience shone through.
We are going to miss Wendy greatly, she is kind, caring, supportive, reliable and flexible to name just a few! Our daughter took to her immediately and has had the best time during the year and half she has been with Wendy, from going to weekly toddler group, to the park, to playdates with friends and more, she has had so much fun.
I have always felt totally confident in Wendy, and the happiness our daughter had going to her and then telling us about her days has really said it all.
It has been a really tough goodbye but we couldn't be more grateful for the time our daughter has had with Wendy and all of the ways she has supported her to thrive, we will be forever grateful.
Wendy goes above and beyond for all of the children she cares for and really does treat them like family, we couldn't recommend her enough.
Wendy has been utterly fantastic in looking after our son. She has been so welcoming to all of us and has treated our son like he is one of her family. He has flourished being in her care and has become so attached to both Wendy and the other children she cares for. Wendy is kind, warm and understanding. I couldn't have wished for anyone better to look after our son and will miss her greatly.
Ever since we found Wendy, thanks to a friend, we did not need to look for anyone else for my son. My son has been with Wendy since he was barely a year old. Last four years have just flown by so smoothly with her around, that I couldn't have asked for more. I cannot appreciate and recommend her enough.
To count just some of the numerous qualities she has: extremely flexible with time and pick-up/drop arrangements, arranges exciting schedules for kids that kids look forward to, has a varied range of toys and entertainment activities for the kids at her place. She goes the extra mile to make sure the kids are happy and well cared for. Her energy around children is unmatched. My son is just so fond of her and it shows. I must say the admiration is mutual too :) She has played a pivotal role in so many minor as well as major achievements in my son's growing up journey from being a baby to a boy, including independent eating, toilet training, colours, numbers, alphabets, football, familiarity with pets, social interaction and above all his manners. I am proud and glad that he stayed in such a good company all this while. He learnt how to make friends not only with the kids at Wendy's place, but also with the kids at other Childminders in Wendy's network.
Leaving your child with someone who is as diligent and caring as you can think of, is all a parent can ask for. Regardless of where we live, we would continue with Wendy for the term holidays without a doubt, because being a mother, I know I cannot be more assured about his care if he is with Wendy.
Wendy is just brilliant. She is everything we hoped for in a childminder and more. Our son is so happy with her and he runs to the door each morning she comes to pick him up. She is reliable, flexible, lovely to deal with and amazing with kids.
Every day they are out and about and they attend a different activity every day of the week. Wendy is also part of a network of about 10 childminders who get together each week, which is great for both development and social skills. Our boy has come such a long way with her. He eats and sleeps well with her and she has clearly made a massive impact on both his development and language.
We tried different childcare before Wendy, including nurseries and can honestly say that none of them come close to the service or satisfaction we get with her. To be able to leave your son with somebody you completely trust the welfare of your child with is invaluable and we have never felt that Wendy has anything but our son's best interest at heart. She genuinely cares about him and we are over the moon that she has also agreed to look after our youngest when my maternity leave ends.
We cannot recommend Wendy highly enough. The way we see it, any child who is lucky enough to be looked after by her could not have a better start in life.
