My name is Amelia and I have recently made the switch from a rewarding career as a Teacher and Head of Nurture at a large SEN school to pursue my passion to become a childminder. My professional experience stretches across 11 years, covering ages 2-19, with a strong emphasis on early years education.
I am a qualified Childminder registered with Ofsted looking to connect with families who are seeking a warm, educational, and nurturing environment for their child/ren.

About Me:
I am a nurturing childcare provider, trained in Nurture and Attachment Theory. I focus on creating a secure and enriching environment encouraging children’s independence, creativity, and readiness for school. My home in Tadley is a no-smoking area equipped with a playroom and a large garden. My approach includes structured and unstructured play to foster pre-school skills and independence.
As a mother of two (a 3 year old boy and 1 year old girl), I understand the concerns and needs of parents and how important it is to have a home from home.

My Experience
I have 11 years experience as a Teacher of ages 2-19, specifically behaviour, mental health and wellbeing. I also conducted Outreach to other schools in the Local Authority to improve their provision and keep their students in the school.
I am First Aid trained in both Pediatric and Mental Health.
I am Nurture trained which included Attachment training. This means I am qualified to ensure all children have access to learning opportunities within a safe environment however they learn best. I want to ensure they have all the building blocks to get school ready within a home like environment.
I lead my school to achieve the Nurturing Schools Accreditation twice. This includes having extensive involvement with parents on how to improve the school to ensure the best for their child.
Most importantly, I am a mum of two incredible children and the proud auntie to my two nieces. What can give you more experience to what a parent is going through and how best to look after children than when you are a parent yourself!
