Hi, my name is Lily and I'm a 25 year old, Residential Support Worker in Newton Abbot. I'm a reliable and caring person, who is extremely passionate when it comes to working with children. My career is what drives me and something I absolutely love. I work with children who have been in and out of foster care or come from unstable and unsafe homes. I'm a nurturing person who believes in creating a safe and stable environment for children, where children feel seen and heard. I'm bubbly and creative and love anything that involves expressing that creativity, whether it be through words, art, food or moving the body. I live a healthy lifestyle and enjoy cooking.
My Experience
I have previous experience in babysitting, with infants and children. This have been for neighbours, family and people that I have been recommended to. I also have experience in my career, working with children who have come from foster homes or unstable/unsafe homes. I work on a one to one basis and do 24 hour shifts. This involves waking the children up, making breakfast, getting them ready for school, dropping and picking them up for school, doing activities, making dinner, and completing a night time routine. I then also do the house work and have to complete a load of paperwork, to ensure everything is recorded from start to finish. Some of the children have different diagnosis such as Autism, ADHD and have trauma.
My Qualifications
Through the company I work for I will also be completing a Level 3 NVQ in childcare, which will then go onto Level 5.
