About Me
Hello, my name is Joey! I am 26 years old and moved to Manchester about 3 year ago from the states and have recently graduated from MMU with a MSc in Child Development and Wellbeing. I have a deep understanding of child development and as a result can implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that support their emotional, cognitive, and social growth. My background gives me the tools to respond to each child’s unique needs with patience, creativity, and care. I'm excited to bring my knowledge and passion into a hands-on setting and make a positive impact in children's lives. As of now I have open availability and open to working on weekdays or weekends. I love working with children and can always find ways to entertain them!
My Experience
I have over 7 years of experience caring for children in a variety of settings. I started ad hoc babysitting jobs when I was 18 for various families from the ages of 1-6 and the professionally nannied for 4 years for 2 different families. I also volunteered in a church nursery during my time at uni, where I cared for children ranging in age from 6 months to 5 years. Additionally, I have experience supporting children with special needs, including those with limited language abilities as it was part of my bachelors course and have me insights into best practice for those on the spectrum. I am passionate about using my education and experience to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can thrive!
