I am a calm, patient, and warm nanny with lots of experience. I enjoy fun days out and getting outdoors when the weather allows, and I am good at keeping children engaged with activities throughout the day.
My Experience
I am an ex nursery school supervisor who has left my employment to continue my studies at university. I have 8+ years of experience working with kids aged 3 months - 14 years and can provide multiple references on request. I am responsible and reliable, and always like to ask how the child’s day normally goes to ensure I stick as closely as possible to their usual routine. I have a Level 3 SVQ in Social Services (Children and Young People), a BA (Hons) in Social Sciences and am a member of the PVG scheme with a full disclosure. I also have various other certificates including first aid training, health and safety training, and toddler literacy and numeracy training (amongst others). Myself and my partner had a night out planned and we needed a babysitter for our 2 year old. I found Shannon on this website and we agreed to meet a few days before so my daughter was familiar. My daughter was taken with her right away so I felt very assured. When the night came my daughter barely noticed we left because she was having too much fun playing with building blocks with Shannon! My daughter went to sleep at her usual time after Shannon read her some stories. This was our first time hiring a babysitter so we were delighted. We'll definitely be using Shannon again! :)

Shannon is pure awesomeness! With her arrival on time, cool and friendly demeanor, and incredible kindness towards my daughter, she's become an instant favorite in our household. My daughter adores her, and I couldn't be happier with our experience.

Shannon arrived on time and immediately got on really well with our kids (11 and 3 year old girls). The kids had a great time while we were out and we look forward to having Shannon look after our kids again in the future.

Shannon came and looked after our 20 month old as a one off so I could go to work.
Before coming she agreed to meeting us in a cafe so we could get to know her and my toddler (who is usually quite shy) immediately took to her, passing Shannon her dolls and chatting with her.
When Shannon came to sit for us I took her through the schedule and showed her around - she was relaxed and understood everything. It was clear that my toddler was comfortable with her as she waved me off without a worry. Getting back it was obvious they had a good time, drawing with different colours and shapes and playing with my toddlers toys. Shannon even got my toddler down for a big nap.
We couldn't be happier with Shannon and will definitely be calling her again.
