About Us

Townsend Montessori Nursery Margate offers high-quality childcare in an engaging and stimulating environment. The nursery provides full time and part time care for children aged 0-5 years.

Our stunning nursery can be found in the beautiful coastal town of Margate. We have paid thoughtful attention to creating an environment that enables children to develop relationships with the world around them, themselves and each other.

The nursery has three bright and spacious rooms for children to learn, play and have fun. Each room has been carefully designed to encourage learning and development for all ages.

Outside, there is a large, beautiful, secure garden for all the children to explore, with a climbing frame, sand and water play area, space to ride trikes and areas to run around. Outdoor learning is very important to us here at Townsend Montessori and so the children have the opportunity to explore and discover in the garden twice a day.

The nursery follows a Montessori approach to teaching which is based upon hands-on learning and collaborative play. We give children the opportunity to make creative choices with what they want to learn, and the Montessori teacher will observe what they do and how they do it.

We are open from 7:30am - 6:30pm Monday to Friday for 51 weeks of the year (we are closed at Christmas and on bank holidays).
