Hi I'm Alex, a tutor from Wirral, with 20 years teaching experience both in the classroom and in alternative settings. I have two children, three cats and a bearded dragon called Spyro. I love reading, playing board games with my kids and going for walks in the countryside.
My Experience
I’m a qualified teacher and experienced tutor across KS1, KS2 and KS3. I love helping children grow their knowledge and understanding in a fun and engaging way. I can help your child become more confident with Maths, English, Phonics, Science, SATs, 11+ and other grammar school tests. My lessons are a mixture of discussion, explanation, games and written work, tailored to suit the individual needs of each learner. I always maintain a good dialogue with pupils and parents about goal and target setting which is regularly reviewed to ensure students and parents are happy with the progress being made. I offer online lessons as well as face to face lessons which can be in your home or in mine.
