My Summary
About Me
I am 32 years old and live in Bradway, Sheffield. I left Meadowhead School in 2008 after sitting my GCSEs. I then studied Childcare at Chesterfield College and went on to Sheaf Training in Sheffield to complete my apprenticeship. Since completing my initial training, I do online training to keep up to date with changing skills.
I enjoy working mostly with babies and preschool children as this is where a lot of my experience has been. In my current job I have witnessed the children progress through KS2 and KS3, helping me gain wider experience of different age groups. I particularly enjoy working in the family setting and arranging trips out to local parks and play groups.
I am very conscientious, reliable and punctual. I also have a full clean driving license, and relevant car insurance for traveling with children. I have two car seats, one suitable for children ages birth to four years, and a high back booster seat for older children.
In my spare time I enjoy socializing with friends and family. I am one of four children and I have recently become an auntie and a godmother. This has made me really appreciate how precious time with family and friends is, and it’s one of my main priorities. I attend the gym regularly.
OFSTED registered.
My Experience
I have been working in childcare for 8 years and I have experience in working with all age groups of children in a variety of settings. I have been working as a nanny since 2013, within different families, gaining different experience.
In November 2018, I began doing creche work with a company called Tinies. I am now working on my third block of creche work with Tinies and I really enjoy working as part of a group with other Nannys. As there can be up to nine children aged between 6 months and four years old in a group at once I have found this job has really enhanced my skills when working with a mixed age range of children.
In 2015 I began doing evening work with a family I still work with currently. I support mum by taking soul care of the two younger children, aged two and four, while she takes the two older children to and from groups. I have found this work essential to my experience because I also help around the house if needed, which has shown me how to use my time effectively.
I began working with my current family in 2014, doing before and after school care. I have also worked days when there have been training days/ illness. I also take the children to appointments if needed. I have become a vital part of the family within this job and love being part of it. After school I assist the children with any homework, and sometimes cook their tea. I have witnessed the children progress through KS2 to KS3.
My first nannying job was with a family of four, with two young children, I was required to walk the older child to nursery and care for the younger child. In the afternoons I helped prepare the family tea and entertained the children with games and activities.
I completed a two-year apprenticeship in 2012, working as a childminder’s assistant. We cared for up to six children aged from 6 months to four years of age. I have had a large amount of responsibility for the care of the children in this time and in addition to providing care and day time activities for the children, including trips out on public transport, I have demonstrated an ability to deal with parents and attend to the administrative tasks the job demands of me.
Over the last few years:
Nursery worker for 6 months in pre school rooms
Local community preschool for 6 months
Most recently and currently I am working with a little boy who’s shy. I have helped to bring him out of his shell a lot and he’s soo much more confident. I take him to playgroups, soft plays, play dates, library visits, park trips. I do batch cooking, shopping, laundry for the family and keep the kitchen and play rooms tidy and toy free.
I look after my 2 godsons one day per week, I look after him for the day as long as is needed, overnight care, washing, cooking, organising. I’ve looked after them both from birth and they are now nearly 6 and 3 years old.
I look after my niece and 2 nephews when I’m able to.

Helena is a wonderful nanny. She helped me with little ones aged 2 and 5 months. She’s very patient with children and kept my 2 year old busy with various art activities everyday. She’s punctual and very professional and I would recommend her for anyone who needs a nanny for their children.
Helena looks after our two-year-old daughter once a week. It took Helena no time at all to buld a rapport with her and she looks forward to Helena's visits. Helena always comes prepared with craft projects and ideas to keep her entertained indoors or out.
Helena is friendly, reliable, responsible and honest and we have no hesitation in recommending her.
Helena has been looking after my six children as and when im need of some social time and is absolutely brilliant with my children, they get on well with her, she is always punctual and precise...would recommend her to anyone looking for a nanny..:)
Helena looked after my three girls ( 12, 6 and 3 years old) at our home during the summer month of August 2014. She managed to bond beautifully with the girls in no time and left very good memories with them despite the short time they knew her for. Helena proved committed, punctual and very organised. She always came to work with a clear plan of activities to keep the girls entertained for the day. Moreover, she was able to serve meals and to take the girls on outings to the park and the library with a healthy and hygienic as well as safe attitude at all times. Helena is a good home child career and I would not hesitate to recommend her to the right family.
