About Me
I’ll get the important stuff out the way first! We have 2 rescue dogs who are great fun and loving, cuddly..etc but they are jumpy and barky so if you’re not a ‘dog person’ this might not be the right household. We have 2 kids (G2y & B3months). We live in a large, detached house opposite the kids splash park in Letchworth that is almost finished being totally renovated throughout, we have a large garden to play in & are in the centre of town. Dad works and mum has stepped away from career to spend more time with children and run the house. Sadly, mum had a stroke soon after giving birth to second child and whilst she seems “normal” to a stranger, she still needs some extra help with household tasks as she rebuilds her strength and working memory & watches the children.
My Requirements
Before the stroke we had been looking for anyone with nanny background. Now with mum’s recovery, we are focused on getting someone who is happy to get hands on keeping household running i.e. getting involved with anything from school drop offs to food prep, shopping, cleaning, laundry, dog walk/feed or whatever else needs doing in the moment but is also able and experienced enough to be solely responsible for the kids at times.
Mum and kids are currently living with my parents so she can get support with the overnight and nursery runs what they’ve learnt is that Connie needs the most support in the afternoon post nursery with dinner play bath and bed so ideally we would have somebody support us from one or 2 pm when Connie needs to have a nap which means taking Baby on a walk to prevent his crying from waking her and then From 3 pm when our daughter gets back from nursery ensuring that my wife can play with her but also do the dinner bath routine ideally she’s asleep by 730 and when I work from home I can help with bedtime but if I have to be at work in London, I try to get back by bedtime
We also appreciate many Nannies prefer to work in isolation from Parents. We are looking for someone who is also happy for parents to be around as we love being with our kids.
We moved to Letchworth from Devon a few months ago where we had a full-time nanny and full-time cleaner who we are happy to provide references from. All in all we are a fun loving happy family that would love to welcome someone into our home.
