Hello my name is Amy and I'm 31 years old.
I love being outdoors and live on a smallholding where I produce most of my own food. I love animals and enjoy reading, writing, cooking and walking. I am reliable, responsible, conscientious, and have a calm and caring nature. I am creative and love having fun with children and getting to know them. I would be happy to work with children with special needs especially ASD.
If childcare allows I can do some cooking, housework and gardening. I have held a full clean driving license for 14 years and have my own car.
I have been interested in working with children for a while and am looking forward to getting stuck in and becoming part of the family.
My Experience
I have recently changed careers after 14 years working in farming. My childcare experience includes as a Cub Scout leader and with the children of friends and family. I am working for the summer at a Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme. This is with children aged 5-15 doing activities at a farm and providing a meal. I have done some 1:1 work with children with additional needs.
I have completed a paediatric first aid course. I have a current DBS and am on the update service. I am happy to do additional training as needed.
