About Me
I’m a friendly, bubbly, loving, gentle and caring 21 year old with an extreme passion for taking care of and teaching children. Since leaving school and taking up an apprenticeship in a nursery when I was 16, my love for looking after children has evolved into me wanting to work independently with families, creating more of a 1:1 bond with their children and the parents themselves.
Due to circumstances out of each parties control, I will be leaving my afternoon family in December 2024.
My Experience
2019 - 2023
Scallywags day nursery & pre-school :
This was my main full time job from 2019-mid 2023. I started my work here as a 16 year old apprentice, helping out in all 3 rooms (babies, toddlers & preschool).
Whilst in the pre-school room i had lots of opportunities looking after children with autism. I spent lots of 1:1 time with a few children helping me gain knowledge and experience.
I obtained my Level 2 childcare certificate in 2021
Not long after, i was made one of the room leaders of the baby room (aged 5 months - 2 years).
i then became Room leader of mini pre-school (aged 2-3 years) which was my last role in scallywags.
2023-24
Nestots & current jobs
Once moved on from above nursery, i wanted a new opportunity to show my skills so became a practitioner at a new nursery. I was based in the toddler room. (2-3 years)
Whilst there, i got the chance to become a part time nanny for 2 boys i looked after in my first nursery which is now my current position 2-6pm.
I also take care of an almost 2 year old girl 9am-1pm, but is a flexible role where I can negotiate hours if needed.
My Qualifications
Childcare level 2
First aid certification
English lit GCSE
I also have lots of training certificates that can also be provided e.g safe guarding, mental health, supporting SEN etc.
