My Summary
About Me
Hi,
I am a chatty, patient and motivated person who is enthusiastic to get involved with any games, sports or activities.
I come from a large bubbly family, and both my parents were SEN teachers.
I mountaineer, climb and swim on a regular basis
In addition, I love animals, and would also be happy to babysit any pets.
I am confident to support all GCSEs. I'd would be happy to help with higher education in subjects im familar with (including maths and Chemistry and Biology).
I am a grade 8 level Trumpet player with orchestral and small group experience. I am confident to teach trumpet, or support the learning of music and related skills (such as reading music notation).
My Experience
I currently work as a specialist paediatric OT in the NHS, specialising in neurodiversity. I have experience supporting young people with a range of needs in many areas to maximise their potential, independence and participation in aspects which are meaningful to them. Lots of my work is throught play-based assessments which is extrmely fulfilling, and I wish I could spend longer interacting with each young person I work with.
I also have previous babysitting experience, including adhoc and a regular family. I have lots of professional and personal experience with ages 5-12, however, I would consider any age.
I have previously worked as an activity camp instructor and lifeguard, in which I organised and ran sport and team-building activities.
I have enjoyed running sessions with young people, such as through music workshops, bike skills, and specialist feeding groups.
My Qualifications
I have a 1st class BSc degree in Occupational Therapy, and have years of relevant NHS experience since qualifying.
Several smaller training courses which have been completed as part of my continuing professional development (CPD), including feeding, sensory and diagnostic training.
I have A-levels A*-C in Maths, Chemistry and Biology and 10 A*-C GCSEs.
My Availability
Due to working in the NHS 4 days a week, I am looking for a regular pattern of babysitting work. For example, always dropping them off and picking up from school on a Wednesday. Im currently fexible regarding which day that is, however once agreed, this will need to consistent.
I am flexible in terms of what is required, e.g. school drop off/pick up/daytime/bedtime etc.
I may available Adhoc in the evenings (after 5pm), and any time on Saturday and Sundays; however, this would need to be agreed as-and-when.
