About Me
At Simone’s Child Care, we focus on providing a fun learning environment that fosters your child’s educational and social development whilst they are in our care. We pride ourselves on our friendly and experienced staff who aim to ensure that your child(ren) are always safe, happy and well taken care of in our warm and relaxed setting.
Our facilities include a teaching room, a sleeping room and an on-site garden. Throughout the day we do a range of activities, which have been designed in line with the EYFS 7 stages for learning and development. Some examples of the activities that we do include fun speaking and listening exercises, educational trips (e.g. to local libraries, parks and supermarkets), cooking and baking, physical activity sessions, gardening and ICT sessions.
At Simone’s Child Care we also offer three healthy hot meals daily (breakfast, lunch and tea) and a freshly prepared snack bar throughout the day. All meals are freshly prepared on-site.
My Experience
I have worked in children's education for over 25 years. Prior to opening Simone's Childcare, I spent the majority of my career as a preschool teacher of children aged 2-5 before transitioning to a management role.

Simone's Child Care standard opening hours are 8am-6pm. Extended hours are available from 7:30am to 6:30pm. Please contact Simone's Child care if you would like to discuss this option.

Simone took good care of my son as his childminder from January to May this year (2025). After two weeks of settling in he eventually became at ease with being left in the mornings and enjoyed spending time in Simone’s yard playing with the tractor. I think he also enjoyed the painting sessions and interacting with the other children in her care. She has instilled in him an ability to blow kisses! I believe Simone is a naturally caring person and would recommend her moving forwards.

My daughter started with Simone when she was 7.5 months old and has been with her for three months now.
As a first time Mum it was a very nerve-wracking time for me to return to work part-time. From our first message and initial telephone call I could tell instantly that TJ would be in safe hands. Simone is knowledgeable, professional and very experienced. Her home has been modified to provide a safe and fun learning environment for children of all ages. My daughter has thrived with Simone and her team since her first week. She settled quickly and we are regularly updated daily as to our daughters progress. She has fresh, nutritional meals each day and is always handed over with a huge smile at the end of each day. Simone is very flexible and understanding and will always help when she can in times of emergency need etc. We are thankful to have found her and our daughter loves it at "Aunty Sims". Thanks so much.

We have had the most wonderful experience with Simone. She has been looking after our two toddlers (age 1 and 2) and we can’t recommend her more highly. She is extremely professional and is very helpful in aiding them with their development. We trust her implicitly - she is kind and reassuring and warm and clearly adores children, and they love her too. She put us (and the children) at ease very quickly. Her house has a great set up with a specific big toy-filled room for the children and lovely large garden. She takes the time to get to know what the children like and teaches them around these likes. She even brought them gifts back from her holiday which was so sweet!

My daughter started with Simone this summer for 4 weeks and I have already seen so much progress. Simone has been amazing with her taking into consideration her SEN needs, My daughter was comfortable from the first settling in session so there was no need for the full 3 sessions. I feel that a lot of progress was made this summer as my daughter was only speaking a few words i have also noticed that now that she is putting more words together to make a sentence. Simone has been really kind and professional from the start and i would highly recommend her services. My daughter has enjoyed baking with Simone and eating fresh organic raspberry's grown from the garden! Her home is clean and spacious with a great learning station for the kids to learn there letters and numbers!

We used Simone for emergency childcare for 3 months when there was a delay in my daughter’s nursery start date. Simone and my daughter very quickly formed a lovely relationship and my daughter was always happy to be dropped off at ‘Mone’s’ house. She felt very at home there, loved the home cooked food and range of thoughtful activities Simone would arrange for her. As parents we felt confident leaving our daughter in Simone’s care, so much so that she is continuing to offer after school pick ups for both our children from September. Even though my son only went once a week after school, he too formed a lovely bond with Simone. She puts in a huge amount of effort in all that she does and was always flexible when we needed it. We are so thankful to have found her and happily recommend her to friends.

Simone has provided care for my daughter in December as we had an emergency and needed someone to cover for us.
Simone was very willing to help us out in such short notice.
My daughter spent 3 weeks in Simone Care, which she enjoyed every moment of it, her needs were met, she enjoyed her home cooked meals and snacks and all the activities she done with her, she was able to make Christmas cards for us and her grand parents which she was very proud of and done a lot of Christmas activities also.
Simone took her to parks and for local walks she had an amazing time in her care.
I would highly recommend Simone Childcare to anyone while looking for a home away from home setting for your children and someone of kind and nurturing nature.

I went for a viewing yesterday in order to start my children in January. Simone showed me round her setting and I was very impressed with her warm welcome and clean environment. I look forward to my children starting next year.
