About Me
I work in partnership with a lead practitioner in a London primary school to provide tuition for students sitting their 11+ entry exams. I also teach Biology and Chemistry to GCSE level, KS3 Maths and have worked with children from nursery age to 16.
I qualified with a medical degree (MBBS) from King's College London (KCL), and sat the UKCAT and BMAT with results that led to interviews and offers from KCL, Imperial College London and Southampton. Studying medicine has meant I have taught many medical students, and learning from these experiences has made me a better tutor.
Together with my partner we have tutored children with severe ADHD, Eton applicants and everything in-between. This has created many success stories, especially with children getting into their chosen school when sitting the 11+, although I count the time when my student didn't want me to leave as my greatest achievement!
My Experience
I have prepared children for the 11+ exams, employing a holistic approach that means they are comfortable in themselves and with all domains of the tests they sit. Having completed a medical degree I’m familiar with the stresses of exams, and offer knowledge of my techniques that saw me through the UKCAT, BMAT and medical school exams.
I get to know the child individually, creating engaging sessions that I hope inspire them in their studies and their life outside of studying.
I tutor secondary school students in KS3 Maths and Science and also tutor Biology and Chemistry at GCSE level.
