About Me
My name is Anita and I run the Gingerbread home nursery in a lively Hornsey/Crouch End neighborhood. With both outdoor and indoor play areas, my home nursery has two dedicated playrooms, two terraces and a secure communal garden with a playground at its heart. Two large parks are within 5 min walk (Priory & Alexandra park), while Stationers park is 15 min on foot.
Inside the nursery, children have opportunity to get immersed into a range of sensory and messy play, from playdough, sand, foam and water play, to planting flower bulbs and kitchen activities. Children are often seen having fun making muffins and baking cookies together.
I do daily storytelling, book reading and singing as well as lots of roleplaying with toys. Children also take part in child-lead activities using open-ended play resources (wooden building blocks, construction, magnetic toys, trainsets and puzzles).
Equipped with Montessori knowledge, I am creative and enthusiastic with arts and crafts activities, using a range of natural materials. I encourage all children to participate in these - for example, painting stones, leaves or ice cubes, making paper houses, wooden/felt dollies and doing clay modelling.
I provide variety of heathy, organic meals and snacks throughout the day, making sure all children stay hydrated.

My Qualifications
I am a fully registered childminder trained in the early years foundation stage (EYFS) to provide the education of children aged 0-5. I have enhanced DBS record and GP Health checks, recently completed Pediatric First Aid training, Safeguarding, Food Hygene and Safe Sleep practices (available on request).

I am so happy with the care Anita has provided for my 18-month-old. She has a wonderful selection of toys that kept my little one engaged and entertained, fostering both creativity and learning. Anita’s warm and caring presence made my child feel at ease, and I could tell they truly enjoyed their time with her. She also keeps me updated regularly with progress reports and photos, which I really appreciate. Additionally, Anita ensures that my child has a balanced and nutritious diet. I would highly recommend Anita. Shee took care of my 4 months old baby and I had an amazing experience with her. I was really stressed to leave my son with someone else and Anita understood that and sent me pictures during every sessions. On every pictures he was smiling and I could see he was having so much fun and when I picked him up in the evening he was all smiley and I knew he was well taken care of.
Anita is doing everything in details, she asked for my son’s feed and sleep routine, development milestone and about my preferences for nappy changes. I asked her to do a bit of tummy time every, which was beneficial for my baby. When picking up my son in the evening, she explained about his day, the activities they did, what he liked etc.. He got a chance to play with toys we didn’t have at home and she would say what he enjoyed the most. He really started to be more curious about everything once he started with her. She is a very caring person and organized. I personally liked her space, her appartement felt very safe to me.
I wanted someone I could trust and where my son would feel safe and she provided that, thank you Anita!

Anita has been our childminder for the past year. She has been looking after our two-year old daughter. We're really pleased with the care our daughter received. She adjusted so well within the first week or so and has progressed enormously over the past year. Anita's setting has some fantastic set of resources. Her place is spotless, homey and welcoming. She gives lots of one-to-one, individual attention to each child, whilst being inclusive at the same time. I highly recommend Anita and her Gingerbread home nursery to any parent looking for truly quality care for their little ones.

I was looking for an exceptional childminder for my two boys, a one- and three-year old. From the moment I met Anita I knew she would be the best choice for my children. She is really hands on and creative. The meals and snacks she provides are super healthy. She would regularly provide feedback and photos which gave me a sense of reassurance. My children thrived whilst in her care. I have no reservation in recommending Anita.
