My name is Collette and I am 20 years old, I undertook a 2 year college course to achieve a level 3 extended diploma in childcare. Working with children has always been a passion and dream of mine. I actively seek opportunities to engage children in activities, whether it's through play, reading, arts and crafts, or interactive games; as supporting their development is always a priority. I understand the importance of promoting cognitive, social, and emotional development, while supporting their curiosity throughout. This is something I have learnt through working within a nursery setting in the past year. I love spending time with my family and friends, while continuing to grow our bond by making memories. I am looking to extend my experience and build a connection with a family and of course your child! I believe I am passionate and dedicated with a genuine love for children. My commitment to their well-being, coupled with my nurturing nature and educational approach, allows me to create a positive and stimulating environment where children can flourish. My Experience
Since starting childcare, I have had the privilege of caring for children of various ages, through college placement and my current job. Witnessing their growth and being a positive influence in their lives has been so rewarding. My approach to childcare is centered around fostering a strong bond with each child under my care. I prioritize building trust, creating a supportive environment, and maintaining strong communication with both the child and their parents. By creating a foundation of trust and respect, I aim to be a reliable and dependable caregiver. When working within a nursery setting I have obtained the skills of using honest communication with parents. I believe in fostering a collaborative partnership, where we can exchange feedback, discuss goals, and work together to provide the best possible care for their child. I have worked within a nursery for nearly a year now, but did 2 years of different placements in a range of ages from 4-5year olds to 1 year olds and younger.
My Qualifications
I have a level 3 extended diploma in childcare, I have all the relevant safeguarding, food hygiene and prevent training alongside having a pediatric certificate and of course a DBS check!
My Availability
My availability is easy at the moment, I have no real commitments to anything so can be negotiable to what suits you best, but ideally would like to have my weekends free!
