About Me
I am a second year university student, studying English at Cambridge. I grew up taking care of and being around younger children in my family, and babysitting children of family friends.
I would love to help take care of your little ones, and remember how lovely it was to have older and interesting people babysitting me as a child.
I am passionate about listening to children, and engaging them creatively through their interests. I am a sporty person, but also have a creative side, one passionate about books and teaching, so am adaptable to different interests and needs.
I also have an intermediate fluency in German and Spanish, so would love to help cater to any language needs if possible!
My Experience
I have been babysitting children of family friends for several years now, adapting to their different needs.
I also spent a month last summer au-pairing two children, 9 and 11, in Spain, which was a challenge but so rewarding. This has made me much more confident in my abilities to handle any situation, as I was doing it in another language!
I volunteer at a local ParkRun also, encouraging children between 5 and 14 there. Aside from this, I was Chapel Senior at my school: a welfare point for students across the school, from Year 7 up, and so have experience being an approachable and trustworthy figure.
My Qualifications
I have done a couple of first aid courses throughout the years, but have no official qualifications therein.
A-Levels: English Literature, German, Spanish (A*, A*, A*)
My Availability
Until October, I have very flexible availability, and am happy to consider any hours, aside from overnight stays.
