About Me
I am passionate about teaching and empowering young people with a range of learning strengths and challenges, but I am particularly interested in specific learning differences such as dyslexia and the opportunities presented by this in modern society. As a dyslexic thinker who has raised three sons, two of whom are dyslexic, I am very aware of the impact such neurodiversity can have on an individual their learning journey and well-being.
My Experience
Over the past thirty years, I have worked as a class teacher, SEN teacher, Special Needs Coordinator (SENDCo), Early Years Lead and Family Support Worker.

My Availability
The dyslexic brain processes information differently. This difference results in strengths like critical thinking, creativity and communication skills BUT challenges with reading, writing, spelling, rote learning, memory and concentration. Identifying an individual's strengths and challenges is key to their success in education and employment.
