My Experience
For the last two years, I've worked as a Childminding Assistant in an Ofsted-rated outstanding childminding setting, alongside this completing relevant training in Baby Brain Development, Safeguarding and First Aid. I've worked with ages 9 months to 11 years in this setting for 38 hours per week.
I gained experience in creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment for children and adapting my language, teaching methods and activities for different age groups to best support their needs. Including planning and implementing various activities supporting the early year's curriculum, whilst also adapting activities to learn through children's interests. For example, using leaves and sticks that children have brought into the setting to explore the current season and how that reflects in what they can currently see in nature. Then developing that further by refining motor skills and promoting creativity through related crafts, such as salt dough hedgehogs.
I have experience organising days out, taking children to music classes and library trips. As well as cooking healthy meals. I enjoy involving children as much as possible in the mealtime steps so they can take ownership of what they eat and nurture key skills. This can be going shopping and picking out fruit and veg and other items on their plate, to actually cooking meals and clearing away.
I have also babysat regularly for the last ten years. For the last two years, this has primarily been children from the childminding setting in their own environment. This includes bathtime, bedtime and other evening activities.

My Availability
I'm currently working part-time with a charity and part-time as a nanny. Therefore there are the occasional Saturdays I might already be working but otherwise happy to book babysitting in.
I am happy to work in the holidays as well.
