About Me
We are looking to hire a live-in Nanny who would be able to provide a loving and caring environment for our two boys who have recently lost their mother. A (4) and B (2) are two brilliant brothers who are great company, kind to each other and lovely company (most of the time).
The House
We live in a light and airy house in Stratford, and you would have a large double bedroom on the top floor with your own bathroom. The bedroom is large enough to accommodate a living room-area, and as well as microwave, toaster, kettle etc. While we want you to be part of the family, we believe that clear boundaries and your own space will make things easier.
The rest of the house is gorgeous and we want you to feel at home. We have a beautiful kitchen, and sitting room on the ground floor, full of colour, plants and life.
Community and Care
We have an incredible amount of love and support from friends and the local community. As this is a very sensitive time for both of the boys our approach may necessitate adjustments to accommodate their emotional wellbeing. Having someone responsive, caring and reliable in their lives at this pivotal time is of paramount importance.
My Requirements
We’re looking for someone who can be part of our family, and who can support me (their Dad) in providing a loving, caring and nurturing home at this crucial time. I am very present in the boys’ lives but am sometimes called away from home for work. Most of the time would be caring for the kids alongside me - as an extra pair of hands, though some of the time it would be sole-care.
The times when you are needed could look something like this:
A. Getting ready and drop off (7 am - 11 am)
B. Collect B from nursery and sole care (2 pm - 6 pm)
C. Picking up A from school when needed
D. Dinner and bedtime (6 pm - 7.30 pm) - extra pair of hands
E. Dad works away (2-4 days / month) when you would ‘babysit’ for the boys
Part of your role would also involve cooking for the boys, and doing the housework.
The role would offer free accommodation with no utility bills or food bills, and a competitive salary dependent on experience.
The times needed below are indicators for the sort of week you would have, though it might change depending on my work, and other circumstances.
