Hi! I’m Serena.
I am a recent graduate of Law with Criminology, but my real passion is Psychology and working with young people. Working with children provides a spark in my life as I meet so many interesting and funny characters.
I am pretty calm by nature but I am very flexible to match the energy of your child. If your child is more energetic then I will be able to keep up and keep them entertained. However, if your child is more calm, I am also able to adapt activities to suit them.
If you haven’t had time to cook a meal, rest assured, as I am able to cook pretty decent meals and can be quite creative if your child is a fussy eater.
I also speak a little French, enough to hold a quick lesson to entertain your child.
My Experience
Having experience as a teaching assistant with kids of all ages (nursery, pre-school, primary and secondary), I have had the pleasure of spending time with various children with SEN (autism, ADHD, SLD and non-verbal) and SEMH needs, both one to one and in groups (including those with no SEN or SEMH needs). This has really helped me develop my communication skills with various children.
As a big sister to a younger sibling, I have a lot of personal experience with looking after babies and children. Being an older sister means that nothing no longer fazes me, from dirt to boogies to changing nappies, I have seen it all. I have often had to think on my feet to keep children entertained, whether it’s a quick ‘exercise’ class, arts and craft or a spontaneous trip to the park or baking session.

I am available mainly evenings and Saturdays, but feel free to enquire as it varies week to week!
