My Summary
About Me
FULL TIME; I am a fun loving bubbly British sporty person / nanny / governess with over 12 year’s diverse nanny and sporting experience. I am capable of working either in sole charge but also embrace shared responsibilities whether this is with another nanny or the parents including (rota) in the UK and abroad. I have worked in many different house holds and have experience in formal house holds with big teams. I have a passion for being active and fit, and like to encourage both outdoor/indoor activities with children of all ages and abilities. I love working with children and believe I am a natural.
All children need is time, space and encouragement to be able to mature, progress, develop and become independent, well-adjusted children. I work hard to ensure I make a difference in their lives, striving through active support to get the best out of them.
I am very sporty/outdoorsy so anything I can do outdoors to motivate children I will do so, keeping fit and healthy whilst developing their skills for the future, as well as having lots of fun. I also enjoy getting stuck in with arts and crafts and also with any school projects. I am a fully trained life guard, strong swimmer and not afraid of the sea/pool. I have also taught swimming if your child needs help developing their skills. I have a strong passion for animals in the past, I have had horses, dogs, cats, hamsters and rabbits. Coaching wheel chair basketball is a big hobby of mine, extremely rewarding and allows all people, non-abled or abled body to come take part to matter of age or abilities. I love Dancing, Keep Fit, Athletics, all sports, reading, and Cookery.
If your child needs help with school work, I am happy to assist where needed. I have done one to one with English, maths, science. I have done all jolly phonics up to GCSE level in addition teaching Russian children English ages 4-8 years old. I always try and make homework fun and not be seen as a chore to get done quickly, so there are no upset faces or negative responses when work requires to be done. I have gained a lot of experience with children who have ADD,ADHD, PHYSICAL DISABILITIES, DYSLEXIA, and DYSPRAXIA. In addition Eye therapy, life coaching and building self confidence.
Cooking and baking is also a passion of mine, and I endeavour to make cooking/baking food enjoyable, so the children can see what they are doing and that they are eating good food with proper ingredients and why a good diet is essential to a healthy body and mind.
Boundaries are so essential when I am working with children; therefore I follow the beliefs of the family but also gradually offer my own approaches. I believe this is working toward full best practice of parent/nanny to the ultimate advantage of the child.
Good and polite manners are very important to me, and should also be to the children. I prefer to acknowledge the good behaviour and praise children, rather than be negative on the bad behaviour. I am a very kind, warm hearted person and I am very fair with children but also firm if and when needed.
I work very hard and am very organised and hold a full clean driving licence. I am happy to deal and sort diary management, travelling arrangements, proxy parenting, booking different thing for the parents, parties, presents and running different errands. I am also honest, reliable, skilful, and I have excellent time keeping as this is very important to me to make life as stress-free for the parents. I am flexible where needed adapting to last minute changes for everyone, making sure everyone is happy so everything runs efficiently in the household.
In addition I have been looking after nephew from newborn who has lived with me 24/7 have done all duties, feeding, weaning, bottles, potty training etc.
In my care your child/children will always be safe, feel loved, be happy, challenged where and when appropriate and be directed in the right way so they may have a flourishing well-adjusted future. ?
