About Me

Little Gems is a fully registered childminding service located in Whitton/Twickenham. We have a purpose-built room filled with amazing resources. Our sessions and hours are flexible to accommodate different needs. Our main goal is to provide both enjoyment and education, ensuring an unforgettable journey of growth and development for the children we care for.

We have a wide variety of toys and resources that the children absolutely love and benefit from. Our room is divided into four different areas:

1. Home Corner: This area includes a kitchen, role play items, dress-up clothes, and dollhouses.
2. Drawing and Writing Area: We always have art activities set up here, allowing children to get messy and embrace their creativity.
3. Construction Area: This area is filled with cars, Lego, puzzles, sensory boxes, and animals for the children to explore and play with.
4. Quiet Area: This is a cozy space where children can relax, read stories, and wind down. We also use this area for singing sessions, where the children enjoy games like "What's in the Box?" and "What Song's Next?"

We've recently built a cabin that's specifically designed as a cozy space for our little ones. It's a calm and relaxed area where children can sleep, read, and explore their senses. Just like our previous room, we've divided this space into mini areas. We've created a sleep area that feels super cozy and relaxing for the children. And we've also set up a book den with plenty of comfy cushions and books. In addition, there's a lovely music area with various instruments, and a carpet space where children can choose their own activities. It's a perfect setup for them to have fun and engage in their favorite things. ???

Additionally, we have our own dedicated toilet facility for the children to use, as well as a spacious garden with outdoor toys such as balls, hoops, skipping ropes, sand trays, water trays, and beanbags.

We create individualized plans for each child based on their interests, ensuring that their experiences are tailored to their unique needs. To keep parents informed, we provide a home link diary where we record everything that happens during the day and send it back to them.
