My Summary
About Me
My name is Becca and I live in a little village just outside Berkhamsted. I have worked in the childcare industry for 8 years and I'm looking for either a full or part time nanny position in my local area. I would describe myself as a warm, kind and bubbly with a great sense of initiative. I am patient, reliable and very trustworthy; all of these characteristics are vital when caring for children.
My Experience
- 5 years nannying
- 3 years nursery
- 9 years AD-HOC babysitting
- Dance teaching assistant for 3-5 year olds
- 2 years SEN experience
I worked as a private, part time nanny for a lovely family for 5 years, caring for a little boy (18 months) and a little girl (6 months). I cared for the children every weekend, during the school holidays and occasionally some weekday evenings too. I had a very close bond with both children and had a great relationship with their family. I created enriching activities to ensure that the children were learning through play but equally having lots of fun! In addition, once I had passed my driving test, I liked to make sure they had plenty of days out to soft-play, the zoo and swimming etc which was essential for their personal, social and emotional development. Keeping the children safe, happy and healthy was always my highest priority and having open and honest communication with their parents was very important to me too.
I have been working in a nursery for 3 years, and have received “employee of the month” and “star of the week” numerous times for being adaptable, hardworking and for always being a positive and helpful member of the team. I thrive in a nursery setting due to having a lot of patience and compassion, which is crucial when dealing with challenging situations. I thoroughly enjoy creating fun, unique and educational activities for the children that encourage and support their development in all areas of the EYFS.
My Qualifications
- School: 8 GCSE'S
- College: Cidesco diploma, ITEC level 4 diploma
- Paediatric first aid trained
- DBS registered and on the update service
- Common Core Skills and knowledge level 2 (specific training for nannies)
- Steps behaviour training
