My Summary

My Experience

Since I was a young child, I’ve always dreamt of becoming a primary school teacher or nursery worker. My experience in caring for young children began when I was young, as I have grown up with 2 younger siblings who I have always been very close with… Recently, I have been working within the care industry with a variety of different aged individuals, ranging from school-aged SEND pupils to elderly clients with advanced dementia. After almost 4 years of travelling to and from Kenya, where I’d frequently volunteer in a slum school, we both finally decided to settle down in Pendeen and build on Bumblebees Home Nursery. We’re extremely passionate about making a difference to young children’s lives and will always encourage the children in our setting to develop their own learning, at their own pace. Along the way, we’ll ensure that all parents are kept up to date on their child’s progress and what they get upto with us!

My Qualifications

I achieved Level 4 Primary Education and Early Years at Bath Spa University in 2022, meaning I am a fully qualified EYFS practitioner. Prior to this, I went to college and studied AS levels (A, A, A, B), followed by a National Diploma (Distinction). And prior to that, I achieved 4 A*s (including child development), 3 As and 3 Bs at GCSE level.

I’m fully trained in Paediatric First Aid, and Safeguarding. I also have a variety of different CPD training certificates, and am currently continuing my training in areas specifically surrounding children with autism and adhd, healthy eating for children and weaning.

My Availability

In regards to childminding, we are open between the hours of 7:30am and 7pm, every day of the week. All babysitting and other out-of-hours requests are dealt with on a first-come-first-serve, individual basis, so any enquiries please just get in contact with me!

We are open on bank holidays and throughout most of the summer holidays. I also offer Event Childcare for weddings and other occasions, as well as Holiday Childcare for visitors to Cornwall. Feel free to message me anytime to find out more information or ask any questions.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £9.00 per hour
• Childminding from £5.75 per hour

Childminding Rates. (7:30am-7pm)
Ages 0-2 are charged at £6.75 an hour. Ages 3-4 are charged at £6.25 an hour. Ages 5-8 are charged at £6.05 an hour. Ages 8+ are charged at £5.90 an hour.

Babysitting Rates. (7pm-7:30am)
Ages 0-2 are £11 an hour. Ages 3-8 are £10 an hour. Ages 8+ are £9 an hour.

What’s included?
The fee you pay covers a multitude of different costs, some more obvious than others. Here is a list of just a few:
- The personal care and supervision of your child (most important!)
- All meals, and upto 2 snacks a day
- Supplies, such as nappies and wipes
- School pick up/drop off service, if required
- Entry fees for outings to places that require payment, i.e paradise park.
- Many toys, educational equipment and craft materials
- Activities in and outside the nursery
- Their own folder
- A high vis vest
- Childcare and safety equipment, including first aid supplies
- A Bumblebees welcome pack, including a soft toy and other gifts!
