About Me
I can offer regular or adhoc babysitting. I am a registered fostercarer specialising in care of babies, children with additional needs and medical challenges. I am also a small business owner, author, and mum of three adults, one of whom has autism, ADHD and learning difficulties. I'm also a nanny to four children, two also have autism &/or ADHD. I have cared for 23 foster children, most have had additional needs. I have also fostered young mothers with their babies. I now only foster children on a respite care basis and have time to offer babysitting. I was previously a nurse. I have up to date paediatric first aid training.
I love to read, write books, spend time with my dogs and be with my family. I love the outdoors and own a vw campervan.
My Experience
13 years as a foster carer of children with complex additional needs and mothers with their babies. 34 years as a parent with 3 adult children & 4 grandchildren. Also nursing experience & working for mencap in a children's residential home.
My Qualifications
RGN, not practising. All other care experience has come from personal and professional child care experience and my foster carer role.
