My Experience

Nanny, Private Families (Aug 2018-Present):
• Providing full-time, sole charge care for four children between the ages of six months and seven years in a nanny share arrangement.
• Using the Early Years Foundation Stages framework to create weekly plans with appropriate themes, activities, and classes.
• Aiding in developmental milestones, such as weaning, walking, potty training, reading etc.
• Preparing healthy, diverse meals and snacks.
• Independently taking all four children on interesting and educational trips to museums, galleries, farms etc. around London.
• Supporting the children’s transitions to full-time school, providing school pick ups using E-cargo bike, and assisting with homework.
• Accompanying the families on holidays both in the UK and abroad.
• Undertaking light domestic duties to support the households such as laundry, food shopping, and occasional pet care.

Nursery Assistant, Favours Day Nursery (April 2016-May 2018):
• Provided excellent standards of care for groups of up to 20 children between the ages of three months and four years.
• Liaised with parents to resolve problems, report injury or illness, and discuss children’s milestones and goals.
• Used digital tools to record and monitor children’s development and activities, whilst always handling safeguarding and confidential data sensitively.
• Aided children in improving their spelling, counting, and reading.
• Provided first aid safely and securely when necessary.

Psychology Internship, University of Exeter's Centre for Clinical Neuropsychology Research (Dec 2015-June 2018):
• Visited primary and secondary schools, implementing computer programs to support learning in neurodivergent children in groups between the ages eight and 14.
• Conducted one-on-one sessions to assess progress and tailor interventions accordingly.
• Performed quantitative analysis on the collected data for use in improving learning strategies in children with ADHD and/or SEND.

Volunteer Group Leader, Local Holiday Club (July 2010-July 2016):
• Independently accountable for large groups of children between the ages of 4 and 11.
• Led art, music, drama, and sport activities.
• Supervised and directed children during fire drills.
