My Experience
I have 5 years child care experience. Since leaving school I have worked within the sector as well as having work experience within a local primary school where my mum works as a teacher!
I have worked within a nursery as a nursery nurse, this was for children ranging from 2-5years old. Here I gained a lot of experience and completed many different training courses.
I had a group of key children who I took care of which included some SEN work.
I thoroughly enjoyed taking care of all children, making sure they were happy and comfortable, as well as creating fun activities based on the EYFS. After working in a nursery I enjoy planning activities which helps them learn through play and going out on day trips to socialise with others!
I have also had experience Babysitting for a number of families for children ranging from 6 months old - 10 years old. I am well trusted and will always keep parents updated through out the day to put their minds at ease.
I have nannied for a family of 5, with 3 children, the youngest being 3 years old and the 2 elder children being 8 and 9 years old. I took on tasks including taking the children to gymnastics lessons, school pick ups, help with homework and home schooling during the lockdown, extra help around the Christmas period, and planning fun, enjoyable as well as educational activities which the children always loved and look forward to!!
We enjoyed going on lots of walks, bike rides and feeding the ducks by the river which we were lucky enough to be located closely to. I would also help in making dinners and lunches for the children and would always be happy to help in any tasks needed.
