My Summary
About Me
Hello! I am an experienced primary school teacher and tutor, who has been passionately dedicated to the field of education since 2013. With a teaching tenure that began in 2016, I have had the privilege of impacting the lives of numerous students throughout my career.
Teaching is not just a profession for me—it is my calling. Witnessing the growth and development of young minds brings me immense joy and fulfillment. I believe that education is the key to unlocking the potential within each student, and I strive to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment where they can thrive.
Beyond the classroom, I have a deep love for reading. Exploring different genres, immersing myself in captivating stories, and expanding my knowledge are all integral parts of my life. I firmly believe in the power of literature to inspire, educate, and foster empathy in both young and old alike.
In addition to reading, I cherish spending quality time with my children. Being a parent has further enriched my understanding of the unique needs and perspectives of students, allowing me to connect with them on a more personal level. The bonds I share with my own children have taught me the importance of empathy, patience, and adaptability in the realm of education.
Moreover, when I am not engrossed in the world of teaching, I indulge in my passion for creating illustrations. Drawing has always been a creative outlet for me, allowing me to express myself and explore my imagination. This artistic endeavour not only brings me tranquility but also serves as a source of inspiration in the classroom, where I encourage my students to explore their own creativity.
As an educator, I am committed to instilling a lifelong love of learning in my students. I strive to foster an inclusive, supportive, and intellectually stimulating environment that promotes critical thinking, collaboration, and personal growth. Together, let us embark on a journey of knowledge, discovery, and endless possibilities!I am a qualified Primary School teacher with a wealth of experience working in KS1 and KS2.
My Experience
With a diverse range of teaching experiences across KS1 and KS2, along with a proven track record of success in tutoring, I am a dedicated educator who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of students. Throughout my journey, I have had the privilege of working with children from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to Year 6, nurturing their academic growth and unlocking their potential.
One of my areas of expertise lies in tutoring for the 11+ examinations, where I have achieved remarkable results. Guiding students through the rigorous preparation process, I have helped them excel in their exams and secure admission to prestigious institutions. Witnessing their growth and success has been incredibly rewarding, and I take pride in empowering them to reach their full potential.
As an early reading and writing specialist, I have a deep understanding of the fundamental building blocks of literacy. I am well-versed in effective teaching methodologies such as Letters and Sounds and Read Write Inc schemes of work, which have proven to be highly successful in developing strong foundational reading and writing skills. I am passionate about fostering a love for literacy in young learners, enabling them to become confident and proficient readers and writers.
In the realm of mathematics, I believe in making learning interactive and engaging. I utilise various hands-on activities, games, and real-life examples to help students grasp abstract concepts and develop a solid understanding of mathematical principles. By creating a supportive and stimulating learning environment, I strive to instill a sense of excitement and curiosity, fostering a strong mathematical foundation in my students.
Working with children who are English as an Additional Language (EAL) or have Special Educational Needs (SEN) is an area close to my heart. I have acquired valuable experience and expertise in catering to their unique learning requirements. Through differentiated instruction, individualised support, and a patient approach, I guide these students on their educational journey, ensuring that they receive the necessary tools and resources to succeed.
