About Me
I am a lively, pleasant, and most importantly creative individual who is able to adapt to a variety of different home environments. I’m currently in my first year of Media, Communication and Cultural Studies at Newcastle University, which may limit my availability on weekdays, however I make up for that with my time management and communication skills. In addition to English, I can speak Dutch and French mostly fluently, and achieved a grade 7 in Maths GCSE and an 8 in English Language GCSE, meaning I would be able to provide homework help if needed. Finally, I will be able to maintain a fun and stimulating environment for children of any age, whilst also ensuring the child’s environment is safe.
My Experience
I worked as a teaching assistant at the Zeven Eiken Dutch School on Mondays after school from September 2018 - March 2020, in which I aided in teaching Dutch to children ages 4-7. My duties included helping the children with their work along with the class teacher. At times I had to focus on just one child, particularly SEN children, to make sure they remained focused and kept them from distracting the rest of the class. As well as this, I was responsible for supervising and playing games with the children during break, which required a lot of energy to ensure they were ready to continue with the lesson as they were often tired from school. Lastly, I was entrusted with each child’s safety at the end of the day, making sure they got to their parents safely.
My Qualifications
I sat my GCSEs in 2022, in which I earned a 9 in French, an 8 in English Language, 7s in English Literature, Maths, Biology, and Design + Technology, and 6s in Chemistry, Physics, History, and Business. I also achieved an A* in my Dutch GCSE, which I took in 2017. I am currently studying English Language, Sociology, and Media Studies at A Level and am predicted A*AA.
