About Me
My name is Sarah, I live with my husband Duane and two of our children, Scarlett & Louie. I returned to childminding in January and set up Sarah’s Home Childcare. I am an Ofsted registered childminder & registered with Lincolnshire Local Authority to deliver Early Years Funding.
We have 2 small dogs, named Lola & Belle and Guinea pigs.
We have a good sized garden and a skate park at the back of our house, which is a great outdoor space. It has a wooden pirate ship, a zip line, swing.
My Experience
Returned to childminding in January 2024.
I have worked as an Ofsted Registered Childminder providing childcare to military families, 2011 to 2014.
Completed my level 3 Diploma in children's and young people's workforce.
Various NHS clinical and non-clinical roles, including CAMHS Crisis.
I have completed my NVQ level 2 & 3 in Care.
Since 2020, I have worked with Teens aged 13 to 19, providing sex education, safeguarding, healthy relationships, online safety. Working in partnership with social care and education to safeguard young people and prevent teenage pregnancy and infections.
While working within mental health, I completed Mental Health First Aid training and awareness courses on topics such as self harm and personality disorder.
Various NHS clinical and non-clinical roles, including CAMHS Crisis.
I have completed my NVQ level 2 & 3 in Care.

My Availability

Opening Hours have been reduced to Monday to Thursday and core hours 9am until 4.30pm, hours outside of these maybe available depending on availability & family commitments.
From September 2025 onwards - when places become available, priority will be given to children under 12months old, then the under 2s.
Term Time Only options will be: Monday to Thursday 7.5hrs Funding per day or Tuesday/Tuesday/Wednesday 10hrs Funding per day.
Limited to 1 parent only: Use part of your Funding for a half day 9am until 230pm Monday to Thursday and use remaining 8hrs at another setting on a Friday.
Stretched Childcare Option: Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 8hrs Funding per day, option to top hours up to maximum of 10hrs per day, hourly rate applies.
Waiting list for under 2s, I am only able to care for one child under the age of 12 months.
Maximum of three children under the age of 5 and I tend to try and keep my ratios to just two children under the age of 3.
My home is my setting, however we are not home based all day.
For example during term time:
- Mondays we attend Caterpillar Music Newark in Navenby.
- Tuesdays we sometimes attend Waddington children’s centre 0-5 session.
- Wednesdays sometimes attend the RAF
Waddington Under 5's session & soft play.
- Thursday ARTventurers Lincoln East, Market Rasen and Horncastle in Witham St Hughes
I’ve also got membership for Tattershall Farm park, visit Bransby horse rescue, Daisy Mades, hartsholme park, Boutham park, the seaside and national trust venues.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
£6 per hour, increasing to £7.50 per hour for Non funded hours from September 2025.
No consumable charges added to parents invoices.
No charge to parents for outings or activities.
Parents to provide essential items & a packed lunch.
From September 2025
9 months to 2yrs and 2 year olds, Early Years Funding increasing to 30hrs Term Time or 24hrs Stretched option.
No charge for childminder holidays or closures, Full Fees or Funded Hours lost for Parent/Child holidays or sickness.
