About Me
My name is Gladys, a female with lots of life experience, very gentle and kind hearted but fun too. I live in Oakridge - Stratfield Road where I run my Home Nursery. Iam married with no children of my own. My husband is a very nice, kind and gentle Spanish man and I am originally from Uganda but I have lived in the UK for so many years. Iam so passionate and dedicated to childrens' learning and development.
My Experience
I worked in social care for over 15yrs. I started as a care assistant/support worker to team leader to deputy manager and to manager of a care home for adults with learning disabilities and autism. I am always involved in the lives of my relatives' and friends' children and I am always fascinated by them. This made me develop an interest in working with children. I like making a positive contribution to children's early years and to shape their learning and development through play.
My Qualifications
Iam a registered childminder as a provider of childcare in a home environment on the Early Years Register, the compulsory part of the childcare Register and the voluntary part of the Childcare Register.
My Availability
I currently have availability Tuesday to Thursday.

Gladys is an amazing childminder, she is patient, kind and attentive. She takes a very gentle and caring approach. It is very clear that the children's development is at the top of her priorities. Her house is the cleanest ive ever seen , which is even more impressive considering how much messy play she does with the children ! My daughter is so happy with her, thank you gladys !! As a single parent, Gladys supports me so much - i can always come to her for advice.

Gladys and her husband Pedro are very nurturing towards our daughter. They show much interest in every bit of achievement our daughter makes and she enjoys attending the setting.
Their setting is very clean and has a number of toys for the children, communication is great and we feel that our daughter's needs are met brilliantly by these 2 lovely but professional childminders. Gladys is an outgoing person and takes the children to the park which our girl enjoys alot.
Overall, I highly recommend Gladys.

Gladys is so kind and patient, i was so afraid to leave my son with any other person because he so energetic, but Gladys taught him alot of skills which my self i couldn't have taught him, her and my son got on so well that he is always asking for visits.

Absolutely delighted to share my experience with Gladys! Since my baby girl started under Gladys
care, I have seen remarkable progress in her. She's not just happy and thriving; she's also developing new skills at an impressive rate, all thanks to the nurturing and stimulating environment provided.
Gladys has a natural talent for connecting with children and goes above and beyond to ensure they receive personalized attention tailored to their individual needs. The range of activities she organizes is fantastic, from creative play to educational games, all of which contribute significantly to my daughter's cognitive and emotional development.

I have never used a childminder before so I was a little nervous looking for one. However, after finding Gladys, I couldn’t be more happier!! She and her husband (Pedro) have been simply wonderful to my little one since we started. They are both warm and caring. Gladys is truly amazing, kind hearted and patient. She listens to our needs and ensures that there is plenty of things for our child to do (there is never a dull moment !!!). I am indeed glad I found her and I will recommend her service to others 100%. She makes the effort to engage our child and uses opportunities to explore (which I do not always get the chance to do). She has truly put my mind at ease since we started and most importantly our child loves being there and being looked after by her. Thanks again Gladys!!!!!
